This is a loose translation of what the bible says.
When we look at ourselves and our lives, this is a nonsensical statement: we don’t feel perfect after our kind, we feel flawed, our lives don’t work, or at least not the way we want it, our bodies don’t work the way we envision perfection.
So what’s up with that statement? How can it be true and so wrong at the same time?
Let’s look at what’s going on through an analogy.
Let’s look at human being through the analogy of a computer system.
A computer system is made up of several basic elements, these are:
- the hardware: your body, your physiology
- the operating software: the desire to feed itself, to eliminate, to procreate, and to cause life to be bigger, better, and satisfying.
- task specific software
- input aka data: what you do and what you say
- output: the quality of your life
Our computer’s hardware is perfect after its kind. Proof? Human beings are still around after so many centuries. And they are getting better and better.
The base operating system is perfect after its kind, just like Windows is perfect for a PC, and Mac operating system is perfect for a Macintosh. It runs the machine perfectly, to produce the desired output.
The bridge between a perfect computer and the desired output is the task specific software and the input.
Let’s look at these, because these two are where the cause of our life’s failings can be found.
The whole computer exists for one reason, and that is to give you the perfect output, i.e. the perfect life. But…
The whole system has a ground rule: the operator has free will about installing task specific software, and allowing or entering input.
The input comes through the keyboard, or nowadays, through the internet.
If you look, the analogy is really great, because there is your own speaking, the keyboard, and there is the cultural conversation, the internet. I’ll include your parents, your family, your teachers, media under the umbrella of internet, because it makes it easier to see.
Who decides what gets downloaded onto your computer is you. And unfortunately you don’t see the big picture, because your eyes are not high enough, your perception is clouded, and therefore your decisions are faulty.
There is something wrong here
One of the results of that is a download that you got on your computer at an early age is: “there is something wrong here”
