The most important questions you should ask yourself before you buy something… anything
…ask them, answer them, and then know that you’ll forget what you said…
Am I driving you mad? lol
OK, here are the questions:
-
- 1. Can I get enough value out of this product… comparable or larger than what the money I pay for it is worth to me… right now? ((Yesterday I attended a webinar that sold something that I could answer yes to all these questions, except… the money I’d have paid for it would be missing from my rent money. Ever since I have been under psychic attack, I haven’t felt like working… and now I am short on cash… So I promised myself to buy that product (a marketing course) as soon as the attacks stop and I recover from this slump.))
- 2. Will I be happy with the product and myself if I only get as much value as much money I paid plus 50%? ((Breaking even is not very satisfying. When I buy a product I ask a slightly different question: can I make my money back for at least six months, ever month?))
- 3. Will I do what it takes to get that value out of this product? ((This is the question where knowing yourself is really useful. I decide to not buy at this question, 90% of the time))
- 4. Will I have the time, the energy, the willingness to put in the effort to get the value? ((Your delusional self will interfere here. The desire to get the results override your rationality. If your ambition number in your starting point measurement is low, the probability that this answer will be a yes is very low. I have warned you!))
Each question is crucial… unless you can answer yes to all four questions… you should not buy the product.
With my own products, I like to check ahead of time, myself, if I want to sell you my stuff…
Especially courses… And audios… that once you had access to it, now you have it, and I have no recourse… So I am quite mindful… Albeit often too optimistic and trusting.
Question One addresses two things:
- 1. is the value advertised real… or b.s.? How do you decide? If you trust your muscle testing… then with muscle test. If you trust your gut feeling: put your hand on your gut and ask this question…
- 2. can the value be realized with your current level of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual capacities?
Here is a question of the pricing, i.e. the monetary value of a product:
I learned a big lesson on Tuesday. The student who paid half price for a house because it had problems and potential… the house needed repair and work. It was worth every penny he paid. He knew it at the time. The value of the potential, when he made the buying decision, was worth the additional investment: time, effort, work, etc.
But by the time we spoke, a month after they moved in, his value system flipped: now he wanted nothing to do with repairs, with time, with effort. He felt cheated, shortchanged, unhappy, vengeful.
And you may do the same, whether it’s a house or a course.
The full value of anything assumes that you can and will do the work, have the necessary foundation, the necessary capacities active. And that you remember your part…
My courses will do what it takes to take a person with the necessary foundation, willingness, and capacities to the state it promises.
You can guess your capacities, willingness and foundation in your Starting Point Measurements.
If I had more people with the willingness, the foundation, the capacities, I would charge 10-20 times more and it would be still a splendid deal.
Every person will realize a different amount of value from a course, depending on their willingness to do the work, depending on their foundation, depending on their capacities. ((When I did Landmark Education courses, I realized 10-20 times more value than other people… for this very reason. I worked my “ass” off… and had a better foundation thank to the work my father did during World War 2.))
But just like the house my student bought, the potential of each course is way bigger than what you pay.
So what does this look like in the Butterfly Language ((may rename it later, if I find a catchier name)) Course:
All my current students, all the people I have measured their vibration and starting point measurements can get commensurate (corresponding in size or degree; in proportion.) value with the price.
Not all the value, or all the potential.
How much you will realize of the available value will depend primarily on the number of spiritual capacities you have open, or you are willing to open with practicing.
You’ll get the knowledge and the guidance. Some coaching. You provide the rest. The elbow grease.
It’s a lot like a test kitchen: I give you the dishes, the stove, the oven, the tools and the ingredients and a course in cooking.
Some of you will prepare master chef level dishes, others food that in spite of the ingredients, won’t be so good…
You should know yourself.
This process will hammer at your limitations like the buttefly’s wings hammer at the inside of the cocoon, chrysalis in another name ((chrysalis. noun: chrysalis; plural noun: chrysalises; noun: chrysalid; plural noun: chrysalids
a quiescent insect pupa, especially of a butterfly or moth.
the hard outer case of this, especially after being discarded.
a preparatory or transitional state.))
Here is a tale that explains why my attempts at activating DNA capacities was a disappointment:
A man spent hours watching a butterfly struggling to emerge from its cocoon. It managed to make a small hole, but its body was too large to get through it. After a long struggle, it appeared to be exhausted and remained absolutely still.
The man decided to help the butterfly and, with a pair of scissors, he cut open the cocoon, thus releasing the butterfly. However, the butterfly’s body was very small and wrinkled and its wings were all crumpled.
The man continued to watch, hoping that, at any moment, the butterfly would open its wings and fly away. Nothing happened; in fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its brief life dragging around its shrunken body and shrivelled wings, incapable of flight.
What the man – out of kindness and his eagerness to help – had failed to understand was that the tight cocoon and the efforts that the butterfly had to make in order to squeeze out of that tiny hole were Nature’s way of training the butterfly and of strengthening its wings.
Sometimes, a little extra effort is precisely what prepares us for the next obstacle to be faced. Anyone who refuses to make that effort, or gets the wrong sort of help, is left unprepared to fight the next battle and never manages to fly off to their destiny.
And then tons more on the internet. Here is one:
Two things immediately came to mind.
The first was the Growth Mindset and how energy and hard work are the answers to success. The man in the story had no understanding, actually no knowledge, of this concept. This butterfly had no opportunity to survive for it was denied the opportunity to use energy and hard work to escape the chrysalis on its own.
My second thought was that this man had acted out of concern, thinking he was being helpful. His intentions were honorable, caring, maybe even loving.
But how misguided, even wrong, were his actions when he witnessed the result.
There is such a fine balance to be struck in the role of parenting. How much is enough? How much is too much? What do parents do to support their child’s learning and when do they take it on as their own?
Struggle builds confidence!
Struggle builds self-esteem! Struggle allows us to actualize our possibilities! Ultimately, struggle is good! Don’t steal the struggle!
and yet another one
After caterpillars have spent the requisite amount time wrapped up in their cocoons and are ready to emerge into the world as a lovely butterfly, it takes a tremendous amount of time, effort, strain, pain and agony for the butterfly to get out of the cocoon. After several hours of watching the butterfly struggle in his bonds, you think “I can help you out of there, little friend” and you cut a bigger hole for the butterfly to get through. Compared to another butterfly, one that went through the suffering of breaking free, he might look as beautiful, but there is one key difference. The butterfly who was cut from his cocoon and did not struggle to break free on his own, is unable to fly. He will never be able to fly. The struggle was necessary to develop enough strength in the wings and without it, he is just a shell of what he is meant to be.
Here is what you want to pay attention to: every caterpillar has it in their DNA to become a butterfly. It uses the struggle to get out of the cocoon to activate these DNA capacities.
Humans are a little more complex… your mind interferes with your DNA. Your parents, your schooling, your peers, what you read all interfere with your DNA.
I don’t have a single student who doesn’t have this issue.
And yet, every single one of you has this path built into your DNA.
To the degree you’ll work it… to the degree that you’ll give it all you got (not your best! your best is puny!) you’ll get more value.
But at the minimum, you’ll learn how to create the butterfly state as you speak it.
The difference between a butterfly state and a butterfly life is how long the butterfly state lasts.
It tends to disappear, but once you know the butterfly method language, you can bring these moments, minutes, hours closer and closer to form the tapestry of the butterfly life.
You can create the state on demand.
An earlier stage of this process was called Brilliance at Will. It was a 36 video course. Everyone loved it. Even me.
But it didn’t cause lasting results. Yet, it was, or would be and excellent preparation for this new course…
Why? Because I won’t teach the whole invisible in this course. And you will need it to be clear what is holding you back.
Therefore I will include this course as a bonus in the new course, at the intermediate level.
If you want to be prepared, buy the Brilliance at Will course now, and get a headstart… I will give you credit when you get to the intermediate level.
