I first started to experiment with the fat burning metabolism some six years ago.
I liked the idea of eating sugar free ice cream from real cream…
I packed on 30 lbs, 13-14 kilos, in 10 days.
I have been eating a stick of butter a day, fatty lamb, and eggs… for two months now.
I am dropping between half a pound to a pound a week.
I feel good. I do have some carbohydrate cravings and I satisfy it by eating peppers, and almonds. Both slightly sweet. just enough to stop the cravings. A gram here and there…
I have tested: eating just one serving of legumes (even green beans) adds 2-3 pounds to my weight. So the trick is to have a virtually carbohydrate free existence.
Some African tribes live this way. Their heart health is excellent, their endurance is excellent.
I also am experiencing a marked improvement in my heart’s performance: my extremities are not as cold as they used to be, and I recover from exercise at record speed.
I have also noticed that my body needs a lot less water to be well, and well hydrated. I used to go to the bathroom every hour on the hour… Now I am going to the bathroom once every 4-5 hours.
OK, I am anticipating some intelligent questions and I am going to answer them before they are even asked:
Question: Did I decide to follow this diet to lose weight?
No, I muscle tested the food list my body will do well, given the gluten and fructose intolerance I have… and the systemic Candida infection I have had since the age of nine.
I am eating everything on my food list, and nothing that is not on my food list.
My hunch is that everyone will do best having their food list and adhering to it faithfully.
I have done enough of that work to see the commonality: the muscle test doesn’t allow foods that harmfully effect the already existing conditions, yeast proliferation, intolerances, sensitivities.
So it is not only ancestral foods… the muscle test is not “Tree of Knowledge” it is actually Tree of Life.
Question: How is it possible that my heart function improved, even though I consume large quantities of saturated fats?
When I came to this country 31 years ago, I was severely hypoglycemic. It was horrible to be on the roller coaster every day.
I also had a cholesterol reading of 450. According to the physician I was on my way to have a heart attack.
So I did a lot of reading.
This is what my readings said about heart issues: the problem is Triglycerides, not cholesterol. Note: I am not refreshing my research… my feeling is that whatever I’ll find will be Tree of Knowledge… and I am not interested.
Triglycerides levels have something to do with the consumption of carbohydrates, I learned..
My triglyceride level is low. My cholesterol level is normal… which means my nervous system is supported, my brain is supported.
Cholesterol is needed for the nerves and the brain.
One of the main ways to induce dementia, Alzheimer’s Disease, and Parkinson’s is to lower the cholesterol level to fashionable low, where doctors like it.
I also learned that sugar metabolism issues, low Thyroid function can also cause elevated Triglyceride levels…
I have had borderline diabetes and low Thyroid function forever… both disappeared with this diet change.
The client I mention in the beginning is already a diabetic… so his weight gain AND high blood pressure is probably due to his unwillingness to reduce or eliminate carbohydrates AND oils from his diet.
Question: Oils? Oils are healthy, right?
No. A lot of today’s incurable diseases were born when the food industry introduced vegetable oils, margarine, and Crisco.
My parents heeded the call too… and two generations of heart diseases followed.
Never in my family, before my parents, had any problems with their hearts… whereas my parents died with heart problems, and both my brothers have high blood pressure, the younger had a quadruple bypass a few years ago.
My arteries are clear now. I stopped any and all oils, except in my supplements.
One more question: Is this the same as the Atkins diet?
Yes and no.
You see, Dr. Atkins substituted carbohydrates… I don’t.
I eat natural foods, as natural as I can get in my local supermarket.
I buy “almost nothing” that is processed. OK… almost I say, because I have bought a few jars of Jalfrezi sauces, Pepperoncini in a jar. That’s it.
Nothing that has an ingredient list.
So I know fairly exactly what I put in my body.
Butter, eggs, lamb, cauliflower, almonds, asparagus, zucchini, Italian peppers, beets are my staple items. This is my full list of allowables: Lamb, Rabbit, Bluefish, Carp, Octopus, Scallop, Squid (Calamari), Whitefish, , Butter, Goat Cheese, Goat Milk, Chestnuts, Pignola (Pine) Nuts, Walnuts, Northern Beans, Asparagus, Beet Leaves, Beets, Cabbage – Red and white, Dill, Garlic, Kohlrabi, Mushroom – Domestic, Yellow Onions, Parsley, Scallion, Spinach, Swiss Chard, Zucchini

Most people will use the trim tab method to adjust… the way you turn an ocean liner around in a bay. Little by little. I changed my diet to what it is now in four months.
And how it is now is so comfortable, so easy, that I know I can maintain it till the day I die.
Which will be obviously much delayed because of how I eat.
