What is my biggest challenge based on my experiences with my non-producing clients?
First off: Not everyone is a non-producer… this guy, Ray is not one.
Here is his story of how he got hired for his dream job..
A decade or so ago Ray was a programmer, and he hated his job, hated his life. It needed none of his personality, which is often the reason you hate your job. I hated architecture mainly for the same reason…
One day he heard about the option to be a ‘sales engineer’, a sales person to sell software, technical stuff… Talking… yeah, that was more up his alley.
The interview was to do a sales presentation in front of two women…
He had his powerpoint ready…
His first slide said: Warning! This presentation includes subliminal messages. That got the two wome
Summary: Distinctions are windows to reality. They are questions asked as the beam of flashlight shine on reality but pointing out only the parts that answer the questions.
This article will shine a light on the question: how secure are you in who you are? Do you survive the onslaught of energies of the horizontal, the masses, the Facebook stuff, the “friends”, the media, the Dark Side energies… Can you stay who you are while all that is going on? Do you even know who you are?
My horoscope for this week: VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): “I prefer an ecstatic orgasm to a lot of angst,” says Filipino artist David Medalla. I hope you consider making that your ba
Not enough time to exercise. Not enough time to cook healthy meals. Not enough time to clean. Not enough time to pursue hobbies. Sound familiar? We’ve all said things like this before, but as Nerd Fitness points out, “I don’t have enough time” is a lie.
We don’t have enough time in the day for everything we might want to do, but we must have enough time for our priorities.
Whenever you find yourself thinking “I don’t have time” change it to “It’s not a priority.”
Watch how quickly your perspective shifts when looking at life’s challenges this way:
“I’d love to work out, I just don’t have time” becomes “exercising isn’t a priority
Whenever you feel that you are on the side of good, the side of noble, the likelihood that you are looking at the world through a narrow cone of vision, and therefore what you say is moronic, is near 100%.
Why is that? Because you are hearing everything through a socially defined, religious mostly, narrow opening in the mind… You’ll miss most of what is being said, and it doesn’t even occur to you… you are oblivious to that.
You won’t make any effort to look at how you are looking, look at the angle of the cone you are looking at, look at the filter… ask additional questions… no, you won’t do that.
Why? Because your mind says that you got the whole issue handled.
Most people feel stuck. It doesn’t feel good. And they want to be unstuck… but they don’t know how.
Three questions can take you from where you are at now to movement… onto the path to wherever you would like to be.
I have lead a workshop about a hundred times that asked slightly different questions, and it strikes me funny now, that maybe I have been asking the questions that are ‘fixing’ based… not what I wanted.
The old workshop asked:
what’s working
what’s not working?
What are you doing in that area? Who are you being? (attitude) What are you having? (results)
Who would you need to be so what isn’t working can start working, maybe even brilliantly?
I’ve lead that workshop over and over again, and it was always a disappointment for me: people, on the evolutionary level where humanity is having no o
This article goes more below the surface, more below the obvious… so you cannot keep it on the level of the society approved level of inane…
Is the quote in the title a true guidance statement, or is it one of those “sounds good” mind-numbing nothings perfectly suitable for the Facebook pretentious crowd?
I used to have clients and friends that their biggest complaint of others was that they wanted them to suck it up.
What does it mean ‘suck it up’? It simply means: “stop complaining, and say “f… it!” and move on.
This seems the hardest thing for humans to do… maybe even harder than summoning the courage to be alone, to read, to stop overeating, or do some “real” work.
I wouldn’t be writing about this, if I hadn’t had a recent run-in with the need to suck it up.
As you may know, I am a new Amazon seller. I am doing that so I don’t have to depend on you, my dear reader, on my livelihood, and that I can tell you the way it is, without sugarcoating it, without t
What is transformation? There are many ways to say what it is, for the purposes of this article we’ll say: transformation is catching YOURSELF stuck in a state that is unproductive and self-righteous.
For a transformational teacher every moment looks like an opportunity to cause your transformation: you are always in layers upon layers of stuck states, even when you feel successful, and especially when you feel comfortable.
So, what gives a stuck state away as a stuck state? Stuck state, instead of wrong, right, etc…
Summary: In this article I examine different teaching styles in the area of spirituality, consciousness and transformation, and I explain why I teach the way I teach.
I got an email from a student of mine yesterday. I quote the whole letter in the footnotes… [note]Sophie –
Would you consider trying a one-day-a-week separate new experimental coaching class in which you assume the best about the students and encourage them to keep working hard and acknowledge the improvements you see in them and give them a little time once in a while to tell the improvements they see in themselves? (a class that) doesn’t use abusing, berating, insulting and assuming the wors
There is a sentence in the Unconditional Love Activator. It is said twice, because it is so important. Yet, most people don’t know what it means, and they don’t even think to find out, to ask about, so they can get it…
Without witnessing as if nothing happened… or said in another way: without witnessing nothing happens.
What is witnessing and what does the sentence in the activator mean?
I first heard the word in the movie “Shall we dance” (Richard Gere, Jennifer Lopez, Susan Sarandon). Susan Sarandon hires a private eye because her experience is that her husband must be up to no good… The private eye asks her why she married the Richard Gere character. She says
