Today I learned a lesson so cruelly cutting, my stomach hurt from it.
Now, being on the other side of it, it has opened my eyes to so many things, I am surprised.
I found out that some of my carefully crafted assumptions based in decades of education might be wrong.
I have been fighting it for more than a week now… and finally, today, I had to face the piper.
The polar pitcher, the equipment I use for energizing water, has changed: the pitcher you get on Amazon today are slightly smaller than what I own and have based my water energizing system on.
It makes no sense to me… and I can hardly believe it.
Then I changed my diet and the sense of smell came back.
Surprisingly I often smell things that didn’t seem to be there… Bringing up memories of the times I smelled the same… good smell, bad smell, neutral smell.
It’s hot here, unseasonably hot, and to accommodate it I am taking cold showers and I am eating differently.
I made a dip-like thing I used to love in Hungary and I hadn’t eaten in 35 years… a simple dish mixing spices, butter, and goat cheese, and if you have it, onion or onion powder… the goat cheese is salty enough, so use sweet unsalted butter, and saltless onion powder, or it w
In this series of Osho talks he examines stories from different ancient cultures. This is an excellent companion to what I teach. Enjoy!
ONCE, WHEN THE HASIDIM WERE SEATED TOGETHER
IN ALL BROTHERLINESS,
PIPE IN HAND, RABBI ISRAEL JOINED THEM.
BECAUSE HE WAS SO FRIENDLY THEY ASKED HIM,
‘TELL US, DEAR RABBI, HOW SHOULD WE SERVE GOD?’
HE WAS SURPRISED AT THE QUESTION,
AND REPLIED, ‘HOW SHOULD I KNOW?’
BUT THEN HE WENT ON TO TELL THEM THIS STORY..
THERE WERE TWO FRIENDS OF THE KING,
AND BOTH WERE PROVED GUILTY OF A CRIME.
SINCE HE LOVED THEM THE KING WANTED TO SHOW THEM MERCY,
BUT HE COULD NOT
“Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.” —Marie Curie, Our Precarious Habitat
The “What’s The Truth About You” workshop series is kicking off this afternoon.
As usual I haven’t done any preparation: I never do. I like my life, my teaching fluid. Freezing it would be to ignore guidance, stop growing, and start becoming a sculpture on a pedestal.
I slept well last night. I had a ton of guiding dreams. All about what I am trying to do
Life is like being in a train: you can look out on the left side, the right side, the back, the front… but it won’t change that you are on a train that will arrive to its destination, no matter where you look.
Most of us live this way most of the time.
We do our jobs, we do our relationships, we do our projects, we do our lives this way.
Fulfilling? No. Enjoyable? It depends…
Ultimately we are plagued by a nagging sense that we are out of control, that no matter what we do won’t change anything. Some of us feel doomed. Some of
We are all special, if special means, as special as our thumbprint… But that is not special enough for you, is it?
You want to be SPECIAL… so you can be treated special… a special talent, outstanding, mind boggling, awesome, the best.
In this article I will shed light to an important phenomenon that we are all experiencing… the ITCH, that keeps us miserable, and the HORIZON that keeps us on track, sane, happy and always well.
I am reading a book, Peak: Secrets from the New Science of Expertise. I am reading it because I want to be able to teach my students better, so they can leave behind the level of ordinary school learning, the pedestrian learning that always produces pedestrian result.
Amateurish performance, amateurish life. ((Your level of fulfillment is exponentially correlated to the amount of effort you invested. Easy: no fulfillment. Hard, lots of effort, hardship: lots of fulfillment.))
Did you know that if you say: I need healing, what you are saying is that you are sick?
This includes inner healing, faith healing, etc…
And when you start from something wrong… like “I am sick”, you are on your way to create a context that is misery every step of the way.
If I needed to define what negativity is, it’s that “what is is wrong, and it needs to be fixed.”
Yesterday I was leading my Theta State training webinar, and I felt horrible. Partially, because I wasn’t feeling well myself. Partially because my students didn’t feel well. And yet partially because one of my students wrote to me, and I nee
How does mind serve the ego, and ego serves the selfish gene… Evolutionary view of team “you”
Tuesdays are my days to interface with people who are neither my readers, nor my clients.
Ordinary people. And although it is very frustrating to me, and maybe even them, I learn a lot from these unpleasant interactions.
Ever since I read The Selfish Gene, a book, and even more since I read the book “Why beautiful people have daughters” a look on life through evolutionary psychology, I am trying to match what I read with what I see, hear, and feel.
It’s a fresh new way to look at people, and a lot more forgiving than th
