I have been reading Colin Wilson: The Outsider.
Colin Wilson is one of my favorite writers. I started my course of study with him with The Mind Parasites, a science fiction novel, back in 1987.
In the books I have read, Colin Wilson is only interested (really) in a few questions: What does it mean to be a Human Being, and how to accomplish that? What is the purpose of life, and how to fulfill on that purpose?
These are exactly the questions I have been pondering for about 23 years.

I woke up with a question: how do you build a latticework to hang all your knowledge on? I have built a latticework, but I did not do it consciously. I just noticed that I had it and others didn’t. As usual I wrote down the question before i went to sleep last night, but the answer wasn’t there this morning. Only the question. Urgently. So I came to my computer, and the first link I clicked took me to an answer. Maybe THE answer. No accidents there… I clicked on a link on a website I normally don’t click on anything. Latticework can be likened to a Christmas Tree. I once had a boy friend who bought tree ornaments as gifts every Christmas. Even to people who didn’t have a tree… ;-/ One of the barriers to real knowledge, I have found in my students, is compartmentalizing. The opposite of compartmentalizing is the integrative approach… I first saw this phenomenon in 1988, when i first read the famous book, What Color Is Your Parachute. The core of that book is completely wasted on 99% of the readers. The core that talks about portable, transferable skills. The reason people don’t get it, because they cannot see the integrative aspec In my quest to find like-minded people, who want to better humanity, I am watching videos, and am exposed the feelings of the speaker, commentator, or whoever is in the video. What prompted this article is a bout of weeping… for no reason. I am sitting here examining the context inside which this happened, and I Have had no reason to be sad, to weep. So I ask, somewhat late, this usual question: is this mine? The answer is NO. Does this belong to one of my students? no. one of my readers? no. to the speaker on the video? yes. Now, this was today. But whenever I watch a sales video… or maybe even read a sales email… I get the feeling of the person who wrote it. How to start preparing your brain to build a latticework to hang new knowledge on?

More on the latticework on which you hang new knowledge to become worth a damn
What is the purpose of life… and how to live it on Life’s terms?
Most often: hope+fear: A perfect prescription for misery. ((
