Life is pain. Anyone who says differently is selling something

discover-the-oceanWith some movies I ponder for years why I liked it.

One of these movies is The Princess Bride. Why do I love The Princess Bride? Why do I watch it a few times a year, especially when my energy level is low?

Because, for me, the movie is about persistence. It’s about working towards something remote and maybe even impossible, and yet…

There are a ton of amazing quotable sayings in that movie… here is one:

Buttercup: You mock my pain!
Man in Black: Life is pain, Highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something.

I like everything in the movie, but get especially energized by the Spaniard. Afte

I thought I had the beginnings of Parkinson’s Disease

canary-in-a-coal-mineI intended to write a different article today, but this is too important to wait…

I had neurological issues this past few weeks. I started to be wobbly, words weren’t coming easily, easy words, and then to top it off, I was dropping an egg or two: they just slipped from my hand. Four eggs in one week… NEVER in 69 years. ((Parkinson’s Disease))

I started to muscle-test myself to find out what was the cause of this sudden onset of neurological issues.

The problem with “diagnosing” issues, nearly any health issue, is this:

Your accuracy, your comprehension, and other topics, including the Fat Burning Brain

why-your-gut-issues-may-be-a-brain-problemSome of us, some of you deal with issues that step from physical issues.

for example, if your mother got pregnant while undernourished, especially in the 90 essentials, you may have developed a number of so-called genetic diseases… that are not genetic at all. Including dyslexia or some form of cognitive displacement issues.

Dyslexia is a brain issue, where certain specialized brain cells went to the wrong place.

Easier to see with an example: had your hand cells went to the wrong place, you would have a hand grown in the middle of your arm, not at the end of it.

Learn awareness, the strongest indicator of a health, wealth, love, and happiness

distinctions-are-the-secret-sauceChangeability, adaptability is the secret of living a consistently good life… but changeability and adaptability depend on awareness. As your awareness grows in the four pillars of the good life, so your success and the quality of your life…

By the way, did you notice I didn’t say “learn about awareness…” but that is what you read? Right?

In the old Forum program, the Forum Leader came in, screaming at us, poor unsuspecting brand new participants: For you everything is the same as everything else.

It took me years to decipher that and see that it is true.

In the Advanced Course they said the same th

What is in common, what is a shared characteristic among people who become worth a damn?

libraryThere is not much in common. It is not talent. It is not ethnicity. Not personality. Not schooling. Not religious affiliation.

The one common characteristic I have found is books. People who become worth a damn are readers.

Even more importantly than being a reader: the most important commonality is when they started to read.

I just read in Wikipedia about Howard Zinn:

Both parents were factory workers with limited education when they met and married, and there were no books or magazines in the series of apartments where they raised their children. Zinn’s parents introduced him to literature by sending ten cents plus a coupon to the New York Post for each of the 20 volumes of Charles Dickens’ collect

The unanswerable question trap: it holds you by the balls

56104204Creativity comes from the “other than conscious” activity of the brain. The part that is neither linear nor word based.

I spend a large chunk of the day allowing it to do what it does…

It is allowing whatever is going on in the brain and in the body to go on… The best way is to make yourself busy.

Washing the dishes, vacuuming, doing the laundry, walking, or playing Freecell…

One of the useless things Tai teach is what he calls armchair meditation. He wants you to do serious linear thinking… which is proven to be a lot less accurate than your other than conscious brain doing the work unattended.

Why? Because the other than conscious mind is not corrupted. It doesn’t think one thing is good becau

Some weird health and eating questions that defy common knowledge… or how I got well and thin

fat-burning-metabolismOne of my clients is unwilling to take Omega 2 capsules, because he says: “I don’t want to get fat”

I first started to experiment with the fat burning metabolism some six years ago.

I liked the idea of eating sugar free ice cream from real cream…

I packed on 30 lbs, 13-14 kilos, in 10 days.

I have been eating a stick of butter a day, fatty lamb, and eggs… for two months now.

I am dropping between half a pound to a pound a week.

I feel good. I do have some carbohydrate cravings and I satisfy it by eating peppers, and almonds. Both slightly sweet. just enough to stop the cravings. A gram here and there…

I have tested: eating just one

What is the intrinsic role of commitment… making a commitment, committing to something?

commitment-to-marryEver asked the question why people get engaged? Engaged to be married…

Engagement is making a commitment…

But commitment is tricky.

Real commitment comes from the Intrinsic Self, and you don’t need to make it. It is what the Intrinsic Self wants you to do…

Most things you call commitment, are impositions on the Intrinsic Self, impositions on you. Duty, obligation, drudgery.

They come from either an outside goal or an ego goal… and they don’t get the support of the Intrinsic Self.

The engagement period drives up the real sentiments, and if there is any honesty, will prove or disprove the authenticity of the commitment.

Authenticity means: coming from the intrinsic Self.

Look for it where it is, not where the light is on

streetlight-effect-2Everyone is looking for the lost key under the lamppost…  The Streetlight Effect ((The streetlight effect is a type of observational bias where people only look for whatever they are searching by looking where it is easiest.[1][2][3][4] The search itself may be referred to as a drunkard’s search.

Taken from an old joke about a drunkard who is searching for something he has lost, the parable is told several ways but typically includes the following details:

The real reason why you are not happy, not fulfilled, not peaceful… and how to turn it around, maybe

contingent-happinessIf you found out that all the wrong turns, mistakes you made in your life… probably thousands, you made them because you didn’t see what there was to see.

A number of years ago, one leader in Landmark Education said: Most people either don’t sign up or quit as soon as they see it.

See what? You ask…

See that the solution to the issues of their lives, the decisions that would have taken them to success were there, but they didn’t see them.

I didn’t see them, and you didn’t see them.

Moreover… no matter how many times I notice that I didn’t see something, the fact doesn’t change: I don’t see what is there… I see something else.
