Most of the people I know are either stagnating because they don’t put themselves in a situation where they need to grow, or they put themselves in the courses and seminars and coaching programs to grow, but they don’t grow because …
Well, what comes after that because is what this article is about.
I was in Landmark Education for 20 years, and I went from seminar to seminar, from course to course, from training program to training program.
In the past three years I probably have done 20 programs, seminars, coaching programs… But only 3 in the past year. What happened?
Good question. I grew.
Very much the way you grow a muscle (especially if you are a body builder), one day you use/overuse a muscle, the next day you allow it to rest, and then do it again.
People that follow the pattern I followed for the 22 years leading up to this year, when I actually grew, actually NEVER grow. They use seminars as
20 years ago I had my first entrepreneur value profile done.
It was some 30 pages long… a lot of English. But it said something like: I don’t work well through others…
Bummer…
A year or two later I got my certification to become a value profile consultant. Then I learned to see all that the 30 page said in English (meaning lots of words) at a glance on a grid.
My starting point measurements is a lot like that grid. It is more meant for the coach/consultant to know how to guide you, than for you to enjoy reading to indulge your delusional self.
When you ask people what made them who they are today, invariably all of them answer a version of the same thing: The past.
How they express this varies: my parents, my schooling, what I have been doing, my genes, etc. etc. but all in all, they all mean the same: what makes me who I am today is the past.
If that were true, that would be bad news, really.
Imagine that it is true. Now see yourself trying to be successful online. Given your track record, and your genes, and your past behavior, how much chance do you have for success?
I’d love to say zero, but it would be unfair to many of you. So instead, I answer it in a way that applies to all of you:
The same as yesterday. Or a year ago…
Now, that is a total bummer, isn’t it?
And it is total hogwash. It is a lie. It is an illusion.
If that were true, no change would be possible. And people do change. Not many, not often, but they do.
There are two main widely diverging schools of coaching that I can see.
One is like a cheerleader or motivator… the coach is trying to get water from a rock…
The other, the coaching I practice, is very different.
The principle of the second type of coaching: you can only coach someone who is in action. You can redirect them… but they have to be in movement. It is not my job or responsibility to get you into movement.
We all have at least two distinct and recognizable selves that we switch back and forth between.
In this article we’ll look at intelligence, but we could also look at the character, the attitude, the moral fortitude of the selves… but because I look at the world through the frame of smart and stupid, and only secondarily through loyal/disloyal, I’ll write this article on the intelligence level of your two selves.
Now, let me start with a statement: there is nothing wrong with being stupid. As long as you know and embrace that you are stupid.
I have been toying, playing with the idea of teaching the Effortless Abundance Course…
What has been blocking me is the kinds of people who want it.
You see effortless is a lie… although efforting, per se, ((per se, NOT per say…!
adverb
1.
by, of, for, or in itself; intrinsically:
This candidate is not a pacifist per se, but he is in favor of peaceful solutions when practicable.
Synonyms: innately, inherently, indigenously, fundamentally)) is unnecessary.
Efforting is a concept. But doing things, learning things, unlearning things, is sometimes hard work. And for most people, who are attracted to the Effortless Abundance idea, work is a dirty word.
One of the remarkable things in the book, Flowers for Algernon, is the new awareness Charlie (Charly) has about his mental state.
When he was just a retarded person, he could see the shadow of the mental feebleness, but once he got smarter, when his mental abilities decline, he can see it directly… not only the shadow.
Once you raised your cell hydration, which translates for most people to a brain surgery similar to Charlie’s, you have a higher factual IQ. You should move to the same position as Ch
It’s New Year’s day. Billions of people give and get strokes… ((A stroke (in Transactional Analysis) is a unit of social transaction. A hug. A nod. A smile. A hello, a thank you, a “how are you?”, or an f… you…. these are all social transactions. The more you get the less your spine shrivels up on you…
Experiments show that babies stop thriving if they have insufficient social transactions… Other experiments how that rats are the same way. But the most surprising thing is: for a rat (and I guess for a human) an electric shock, a slap on the face, and insult also count as a stroke… preventing their spine from shriveling up.
My personal interpretation is: as long as life tells you you exist, you want
Jordan Peterson: His vibration is 170. The truth value of what he says is about 10%. That is not as bad as it sounds, the truth value of your knowledge is less than 1%, so who are you to judge?
Anyway, 170 is not bad, and some of the things he does with what he has is quite brilliant. One of the capacities is to find patterns in disparate dominions and connect them.
Watch his body language… it is mighty difficult to hold it together…
It is definitely worth watching.
I am curious what you hear… so if you feel generous, let me know what you heard, for yourself. OK?
It’s even worth watching twice

This is the ancient “science” that underlies the shotgun/lottery/chasing mirages approach to life you practice, and the process driven approach I teach.
Where do I teach it? In every article. In every course of mine. In every webinar. In my coaching…
If you hoped to find the answer in just one post… you
