Push or pull, inspiration or motivation or ambition?

As you know I am dyslexic. Very dyslexic. Reading even my own articles online is nearly impossible.

Today I got an article in an email where Andy of bugfree fame talks about the difference between motivation and inspiration. I could grab a sentence here and there… but I really could not read the article. But it’s been knocking about in my head, and I want to share with you what I experienced, and what opening I see for myself, an opening I have never seen before. I put the whole article in the footnotes… the article I could never read myself… ((In today’s footstep I am going to answer a question I had in a few days ago regarding motivation. I was asked what motivates me to make me to achieve my dreams.
To cover it I am going to take a section from the 2nd part of the Process Using A Bug Free Mind (Chapter 18 – Taking The Red Pill).
It comes from the point wh

The truth, that I found three layers deep, will set you free

I am most famous for my ability to distinguish. Distinguishing is a rare capacity, the ability to tell the forest from the tree. It is solidly based on the ability to peel off layers so one can get to the root… and often below the level that used to be considered the root. Layer below layer below layer.

This past week I had the good fortune to go deeper yet again.

Depressed? Here is how to dig yourself out of depression…

Imagine if you found out that all your hopes for a “normal” life are crushed. You are too old to get married, your way of communicating doesn’t attract the other sex anyway.

You just found out…

Levels of consciousness explained

If we continue with the analogy of climbing a circular staircase, in each paradigm you can be at the bottom of the steps on the top, or anywhere in between. ((Look at the picture on the left: on the bottom there is crowding, competition… towards the top less and less people are on the steps… that is exactly how it is in raising your consciousness… people give up.))

Let’s consider that it takes 100 rotations to get to the top of the staircase inside your current paradigm. Wherever you are, you’ll find yourself somewhere on that 1 to 100 scale. Most likely closer to the bottom… Sorry.

Updated: Can your teacher teach you what you want to learn?

“The reasonable man adapts himself to the conditions that surround him… The unreasonable man adapts surrounding conditions to himself… All progress depends on the unreasonable man.”This post was triggered by me reading a few really good articles… Observing myself I was really clear, that although I enjoyed the articles, it never became knowledge, it stayed information.

Words don’t teach. Speaking only talks to the mind… Real teaching happens NOT when you get stuff with your mind… Transformation doesn’t happen in the mind: transformation happens by taking you out of your mind… All that talking keeps you in the mind. Alas…
Growing up I lived in the shadows of my famous father. He was some kind of genius in the area of economics…

As I was dyslexic, and the public opinion of me was that I was a moron and a failure, he took it on himself to tutor me in my schoolwor

the doors to heaven swing on little hinges or the delusion that keeps them closed

>What’s missing that ALL self-improvement, self-development products end up on the “fraud” pile that is as high as mount Everest?

Ultimately there are two types of teachers:

Can do (occasionally) what they teach, but unaware and unconscious of what they are doing

Can’t even do what they teach, but expect you to do it regardless

What is the opposite of reaction; is it response? Prepare to be surprised…

This is a republished article from June 26, 2013… So please don’t get alarmed… this didn’t just happen. It happened long time ago. But the message is as timely as ever…

What is the opposite of reaction; is it response? Is it pro-active? Prepare to be surprised…

Gurus and even psychologists give lip service to not being reactive. They say it’s the ego’s way to take over your life. They suggest that you respond. They don’t know what they are talking about, and you, the client, suffer as a result.

Are you paralyzed? Are you waiting?

I wonder if you ever pondered where nightmares like most Doctor Who stories are, come from?

My hunch is that they come from reality.

Take the story where humans, one by one, by touch, are turned into human-size grinning or weeping toys. And now that they are toys with no will of their own, the only will they have is to turn other humans into toys like themselves.

When I look around I see plenty of proof of this nightmare being real.

Are you being used?

Lots of people, women and men, have a feeling that they are just placeholders or commodities for their friends or lovers.

Even coaches and gurus can have that feeling: actually this is what lead me to start this article.

Whenever I have a question about someone, or have time, I look up the online profiles of people that want to become a student of mine.

So I looked up someone today who has been a student, on and off for about two years now. I have had mixed feeling about her, so I looked her up.

Is being astute a good thing? Or does it mean you are a bad person who wants to deceive others?

If I asked you what will be the most important capacity to master in the coming years, you would come up with all kinds of capacities, but I bet you would not think of saying: becoming astute.

If you go to the online dictionary, like one of my students did, the one for whom I made this activators, you would not understand why that capacity is important.

Here is what the dictionary has to say:

as·tute
/??st(y)o?ot/
Adjective
Having or showing an ability to accurately assess situations or people and turn this to one’s advantage: “an astute businessman”.
Synonyms
shrewd – sly – wily – crafty – canny – artful – sharp

To understand the meaning better, you look at the synonyms, and you are appalled, am I right? They are all words usually used to express one kind of deception or another.

But the meaning is only the first few words, the rest of them is added by “culture”: “Ha
