I got this email today. It’s seductive, it’s hypnotic, but the conclusion is totally wrong, misleading: the kind that makes you buy stuff and then never amount to anything.
I wonder why people, sellers, are afraid to tell the truth… That it takes work to get from A to B in anything, and to get from A to Z, where mastery is, you need a lot of work…
People buy my stuff… Even though I honestly tell the uncomfortable truth: without you doing your part, none of my stuff works… except maybe the Heaven on Earth… aka HOE.
But then again, they either don’t hear me or don’t believe me…
Anyway, read the story here, and notice that what they sel
We all want change. The circumstances to change, others to change… We want people to change to what we deem the correct or good way to be.
We want reality to be different.
We put our attention to what’s wrong, in our view, what is missing, in our view.
In essence, we want the world to conform to our norms.
I am describing, to a more or less degree, humanity… though a segment of the population is very loud about it, very verbal about it: activists and campaigners.
I see that what is important to you is to integrate into society, into your family, into your relationship, make money the way you are supposed to… no rocking the boat.
I see that your main problem, coming here, was that you didn’t quite fit in.
I don’t know why I didn’t get it earlier. I don’t know why I didn’t think that you just want to get rid of what was unhappy about y
You have been choosing the shrink most of your life… and you ended up on my site with a meager number of capacities, hoping to get more out of life than you are getting.
You have been choosing, consistently to be a fat flightless turkey, in spite of your DNA that has flying as a capacity.
Yesterday I activated the capacity of Process for a handful of people… and it seems that this is a crucial capacity… Here are some interesting insights reading people’s notes who just got the Process capacity activated
This question is coming up with increasing frequency.
You should ONLY activate a capacity if and when you need it, when you have a use for it, and it’s missing. Otherwise you won’t know what to do with it, and won’t use it.
Ego will declare it a ballast… and turn it off.
What is the most important ingredient that you need to grow and need new capacities turned on?
It’s ambition.
Ambition is an inner force that propels you towards growth, upwards, onwards. It only has direction, and not a goal. If you have a goal, it is not ambition, it is desire… aka greed. All ego. Wanting to have.
Just think how hard it is to let go and pee, when people are, maybe, watching. Falling asleep in a new environment.
But… when you are controlling, your are shrinking. When you let go of control: you are expanding.
There are so many things to control: with your control of the few things you know, your breathing, your thoughts… you take yourself out of life, take yourself to a place, where life dies with your control.
In you, and around you.
There is an exercise they make you do in leadership classes. Two people face each othe
Every success proves nothing. It can be luck, it can be accident, it can be smarts… you can’t be sure.
I am an architect by trade… and all my life as an architect I was wondering if I was talented. I could never say for certain. I could win contests, I could win awards, talent is not proven by them.
Finally I gave it up and sighed a sigh of freedom and relief.
You are the same way about being smart… or whatever is your issue. (Some people have an issue with being liked, loved, valued, respected, etc. But I think everyone has some issue with smarts. I could be wrong…)
My recommendation is that you consider the Forrest Gump saying: Stup
I just read an article on the Monday Morning Memo and I cringed. It hit me what bs is being propagated as wisdom.
As you have seen, if you have been with me for more than a week, you would know that I knock the idea of beliefs being important to your success in life. And after reading Roy Williams article, I am also going to start to knock the idea that the why is what’s important.
What am I talking about? What is the why, and why should it matter to you?
Here is what is being taught in the entrepreneur field today: If your why is big enough, you’ll do what you need to do, to succeed. ((Entrepreneurs, strictly speaking, are problem solvers for others. But you need to
