“Either everybody counts or nobody counts”

20 years ago I had my first entrepreneur value profile done.

It was some 30 pages long… a lot of English. But it said something like: I don’t work well through others…

Bummer…

A year or two later I got my certification to become a value profile consultant. Then I learned to see all that the 30 page said in English (meaning lots of words) at a glance on a grid.

My starting point measurements is a lot like that grid. It is more meant for the coach/consultant to know how to guide you, than for you to enjoy reading to indulge your delusional self.

Sigh.

So today, 20 years later, I lo

How does your past get into your future… and make you repeat the same life

I have an older blog that is attacked by hackers every week. They install malware… so I don’t want you to go there…

It’s an old website, more than 10 years ago it was my main blog. Most of it is still useful. ((I have read an interview with Jeff Bezos the other day, or was it a youtube video, can’t remember. He was asked a question about the future. He said something incredibly insightful, and something most people can’t even hear!

He said that the question to ask is this: What will remain the same?

Most people try something new, something shiny, something that is a new trend.

But real winners learn what works and what will work now, ten years from now, a hundred years from now. And

How to Live More Abundantly… a Jewish Story

einstein quote: There are two ways to live your life, one is as though nothing is a miracle, the other is as though everything is a miracle. One night, the Shah dressed up as a peasant to enjoy the evening air undisturbed by his rank, and to wander through the streets of his empire unnoticed. He walked through town and reached the poor section of town. The street was quiet, but suddenly he heard singing from a little cottage. As he peaked through the window he saw a man sitting at a table.

He was amazed that such a poor man would be in such good spirits. He knocked on the door and asked if he would be welcome to join the man as a guest. They ate and drank together. After the meal the Shah asked the man how he earned hi

The Producers, The Takers, The Waiters, The Hopers, The Wanters… Which One Are You?

magic button In this article I am going to examine what it is that separates from Producers from Hunters and gatherers

I had a conversation with my friend, Nancy F., yesterday. The topic of the conversation, after some wild twists and turns, settled on what is the secret of Jewish people’s success.

Nancy F. has always wanted what Jews had, without having to be a Jew… lol.

I don’t have a lot to say about that, even though I am reading a book about it. Why? Because being that way is like the air I breathe, invisible.

You know, like water for the fish is not there. Until the fish jumps out of the water, looks down, and gasps: Water! Then the fish splashes back into the water and water disappears for him.

The narrative… the story that creates who you are

The narrative ((narrative:
* 1.a story or account of events, experiences, or the like, whether true or fictitious.
* 2.a book, literary work, etc., containing such a story.
* 3.the art, technique, or process of narrating, or of telling a story: Somerset Maugham was a master of narrative.
* 4.a story that connects and explains a carefully selected set of supposedly true events, experiences, or the like, intended to support a particular viewpoint or thesis: to rewrite the prevailing narrative about masculinity; the narrative that our public schools are failing.))

A student of mine, after listening to my last Sunday call recording, asked why Jews turned to a different strategy than the slaves from Africa. Or Native Americans.

The original sin… how you can stop paying, how can you stop suffering?

As I promised, the next step in creating your life that discouragement is only a rare guest in, instead of a tenant…

I am going to start with a somewhat gossipy story: my conversation with my mentor, Gyõzõ Margóczi, the brilliant engineer who wrote the books “Feelings” and “Words”.

I suggested that he thinks about developing a feedback device, that gives you valuable feedback on your feelings… because being in touch and understanding the dynamics of feelings is the hardest thing for a regular human.

And everyone is a regular human… 🙁

His answer, pay attention, was that there must surely be a rich man, like Bill Gates, who would want to stand behin

Why is the “need to meet others’ expectation” so important, and why it’s a mistake to not honor it?

And how it doesn’t mean to please everybody, or even one person. You’ll see…

Our language is so corrupt, it is hard to find a person who means what they say… I mean the words. You’ll see what meeting others’ expectation is… Not what’s on the illustrations… 🙁

The most willfully ignored need, in my experience, is the need to meet others’ expectation.

What prevents you from honoring that need is a misunderstanding. Or we could say: the mis-weighing bias. All biases are misunderstanding how things work, shortcuts that give you a different result than what you expected.

In not honoring but ignoring this need, your chances for success, your chances for love, for self-expression, for happiness are so greatly diminishe

Do you want to be a Jew?

I want to tell you a little story… because it’s been on my mind for a while, and I need to get it off my chest.

YOU don’t need it. You really don’t want to hear it, because you won’t like what it says about you.

So, it’s OK if you click off now. Good. Now I am alone with the handful of people who want to hear what I have to say. Because it is what makes us this little group of… Jews?

Funny, eh? Let me explain.

Long time ago, over the seas, and the mountains, a little old man, called God was in search of some people. Some people who would take it on themselves to run an experiment, much like the first fish that climbed on dry land.

So this l

On Venus, Have We Got a Rabbi!

A long-lost space age satire about what it means to be a Jew from one of science fiction’s greatest humorists By William Tenn source: http://www.tabletmag.com/jewish-arts-and-culture/202356/on-venus-have-we-got-a-rabbi The story you are about to read was almost never written. The story. Your story. It is either inspiring or it is depressing…

the history of kings in BritainThe story. Your story. It is either inspiring or it is depressing… either way it’s the context of your life

Your story can be your personal story. Telling what happened from your personal point of view. No creativity is required: it’s already applied generously.

Why? How? Anything that happened is turned into words… and words, whenever applied, create a story, a story line, an interpretation. Filters added creatively… Skewed.

Your story can be the story of your heritage. No matter how you tell this story: it is filtered through opinions, beliefs, and other filters.

You think a story tells something about the past.

But a story tells your future: reliabl
