Cover-shallow-1024x626Real life is the game that – literally – everyone is playing. But it can be tough. This is your guide.

Basics

You might not realise, but real life is a game of strategy. There are some fun mini-games – like dancing, driving, running, and sex – but the key to winning is simply managing your resource

Osho on the pathless path

osho-on-zenTHE ANCIENTS SAID:

“(SELF-)CULTIVATION TAKES AN UNIMAGINABLE TIME (WHILE) ENLIGHTENMENT IN AN INSTANT IS ATTAINED.”

IF THE TRAINING IS EFFICIENT, ENLIGHTENMENT WILL BE ATTAINED IN ONE FINGERSNAP.

IN DAYS GONE BY CH’AN MASTER HUI CHUEH OF LANG YEH MOUNTAIN, HAD A DISCIPLE WHO CALLED ON HIM FOR INSTRUCTION. THE MASTER TAUGHT HER TO EXAMINE INTO THE SENTENCE: “TAKE NO NOTICE.”

SHE FOLLOWED HIS INSTRUCTION STRICTLY WITHOUT BACKSLIDING.

ONE DAY HER HOUSE CAUGHT FIRE, BUT SHE SAID: “TAKE NO NOTICE.”

ANOTHER DAY, HER SON FELL INTO THE WATER AND WHEN A BYSTANDER CALLED HER, SHE

There is no secret, no secret ingredient to raising your vibration, to become an expanding human being.

'I can't get my computer to work.'For those of you who have been making ever tightening circle around the secret, you may call it the truth, this is first a big let-down. A disappointment.

But when you look again, it gives you your life back, your ship is again under your command… you can become a finder instead of a seeker of the secret.

“The secret of growth” you’ve known but wished to be different is this: find something th

In life you are either a nerd or you are a floater

watch the movie gattacaAre you a nerd? ((One description I found on the internet is this: a NERD is an individual of vast intelligence and curiosity coupled with a natural knack for academics and discovery. You not only appreciate technology, biology, and all the other ‘ology’s – you know what they mean and how they work, too! While Geeks are busy flooding comic-cons and using the internet while pretending to know how it works, you are busy coding the damn internet and earning your Masters or Doctorate (if you don’t already have it/both). Of course t

It is all about where the finger is pointing.

revolutionwordsActivism, campaigning

We all want change. The circumstances to change, others to change… We want people to change to what we deem the correct or good way to be.

We want reality to be different.

We put our attention to what’s wrong, in our view, what is missing, in our view.

In essence, we want the world to conform to our norms.

I am describing, to a more or less degree, humanity… though a segment of the population is very loud about it, very verbal about it: activists and campaigners.

The number one ingredient to become an

Your smarts don’t live in your brain. Comparing brains is a favorite job of scientist, but they are on the wrong track.

your smarts are not in your brainYour smarts don’t live in your brain. Comparing brains is a favorite job of scientist, but they are on the wrong track.

Instead they should ask questions that relevant… I wonder why they don’t think to answer relevant questions.

Questions like what happens when a really smart man has a daughter? How come that women, in general, are less capable, less able to make it in the world?

And the answer doesn’t live in the brain: it lives in the DNA.

Children inherit a combination of their parents’ DNA. A child can be smart, even brilliant as a potential, socialization will force

Why can’t you change? What is holding you back?

Why you can't change: to change, you need to own the past and complete itIn spite of The sight, and other capacities newly available to you, you don’t seem to be able to change…

You have been unsuccessful getting their guidance, getting your information from outside of the mind.

This manifests, among others, in the inability to muscle test correctly.

The question is why?

The phenomenon, what actually seems to happen is this: you understand where to look, how to look, and you nod rapidly. You bring great examples to show how you just succeeded in using the new capacity… but I can smell the mischief… you are trying to throw me off my tra

Take back your life… Take back your power… The value of proving that you can

Taking-Back-What-The-Devil-Has-StolenAbout two years or so after I graduated from architecture school, I was assigned to manage a project. A big one. A university in Oran, Algeria.

I wasn’t assigned because I was so good. Looking back I was green. I didn’t have the vision. I didn’t have the big picture. I didn’t have even the small picture.

Then a new person came to manage the department, and he sent me back to be a draftsperson to prove myself from the ground up.

As any self-respecting arrogant person would, I said that I didn’t have to prove

Falling in step, intelligence, tough choices

Falling in step

I just finished a Talk-to-me call. It’s a call available for people on my mailing list, where they can ask any questions and get answers, coaching, whatever they need. The call was a breakthrough in a lot of ways.

First off, I distinguished for myself, for the second time, that unless I fall in step with the person I coach, they can’t get what I am saying as contribution and cannot act on it.

Falling in step with music is obviously fun. Falling in step with a drum circle is fun. But falling in step with another person is a challenge. But unless you do, discord is the result.

So what

When you are looking for and find things to be unhappy about… always angry…

anger icebergI have a student who seems to be looking for reasons to be unhappy, angry, frustrated. And not surprisingly she finds something. Always.

She is working on her health and well-being, and part of that is to document every breakfast, lunch and dinner time what she eats, what she drinks, what she does, what she feels like, and whether she had a bowel movement or not. These are all indicators of her well-being and progress.

This morning I realized something: her diary says: bowel movement: small. She doesn’t say: bowel movement: yes (or no, whatever is the case.) No she says: small.

This realization lead me to l
