I have been toying, playing with the idea of teaching the Effortless Abundance Course…
What has been blocking me is the kinds of people who want it.
You see effortless is a lie… although efforting, per se, ((per se, NOT per say…!
adverb
1.
by, of, for, or in itself; intrinsically:
This candidate is not a pacifist per se, but he is in favor of peaceful solutions when practicable.
Synonyms: innately, inherently, indigenously, fundamentally)) is unnecessary.
Efforting is a concept. But doing things, learning things, unlearning things, is sometimes hard work. And for most people, who are attracted to the Effortless Abundance idea, work is a dirty word.
If you find yourself on the wrong road… trace your way back to where you went astray… and choose a different road.
Why? Because trying to go across to where you really wanted to go, without going back, is fraught with death traps.
Humanity, some seven thousand years ago, took a wrong turn. In just a few words: they started to replace reality with word pictures in the mind. Concepts.
This took us to where we are now: not a pretty place. Any and every human is afflicted: no one is exempt.
An “avatar’s” job is to take you backwards so you can find your way from there… They have to have earned the right… by going back personally, backtracking themselves.
It’s New Year’s day. Billions of people give and get strokes… ((A stroke (in Transactional Analysis) is a unit of social transaction. A hug. A nod. A smile. A hello, a thank you, a “how are you?”, or an f… you…. these are all social transactions. The more you get the less your spine shrivels up on you…
Experiments show that babies stop thriving if they have insufficient social transactions… Other experiments how that rats are the same way. But the most surprising thing is: for a rat (and I guess for a human) an electric shock, a slap on the face, and insult also count as a stroke… preventing their spine from shriveling up.
My personal interpretation is: as long as life tells you you exist, you want
This morning I have been experiencing an emotional roller coaster… as I am cycling through tens of people as I accidentally connect to them. Some gurus, Murakami, his wife, a marketing guru, my next door neighbor, my brother, some students, … Continue reading → Related Posts: The unanswerable question trap: it holds you by the […]
I don’t remember why I first bought hemp seeds but I did… and ate a tablespoonful here and there. Last September, I think… It made no noticeable difference. I guess the hulled seeds and little bits of hull staying in … Continue reading →
I am watching you… lol. Not like Big Brother, more like I learn from you what you need. Where you are defeating your best intentions, where you leak energy, where you get it wrong.
And because you are here (I hope at least some of you) to get help in attaining to the good life, so you want me to watch you… it is for your benefit.
I was just telling one of my students the biggest missing he has: The principle that
everything you ever wanted comes to you through other people
or as Wallace D. Wattles says in The Science of Getting Rich: the gold coins won’t roll out and to you, they will be in the hands of others.
If you suck the last little bit of energy out of your battery and then charge it, next day it will give you a little more… ((I just read that this is not true for all types of batteries… well, it is true for most people…)
But if you suck the energy sparingly, if you are more worried about the battery than about building something with the energy… at the end of the day energy is left in the battery.
You charge it overnight, and next day the battery will show full, but its full is only the 70% you used the day before…
And little by little, your sparing the battery attitude, your stinginess leaves you with hardly any energy to get things done, to think, to dream, to imagine, to be
It’s worth it… Is it worth it? It’s not worth it… It is all about whether it is worth it for you or not…
If you are supposed to have it already, then working for it doesn’t look like it’s worth it.
And this is the problem, an epidemic, of today. I have students in all the time zones of the world… and they all share this problem.
Memes, thought forms, prevalent teachings suggest that
1. you are already happy, worthy, successful, precious, special, blah blah blah
2. that you already have everything or supposed to to be who you want to be
3. that you should look within for all the answers
4. that the Universe is friendly to you
and on and on and on, endless flow of half-truth, endless flow of decepti
This is paraphrasing the famous Leo Tolstoy quote: “All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.” This is the Anna Karenina principle… As all principles do, it applies to many, maybe even all areas of life. A principle is the same as a distinction… I say.
But truth is, if you know distinctions, if you know patterns, there are only about 50 different ways to get stuck… and your way is just one or two of those.
