When I am looking at winners, they are involved with something worth working for… involved, as in action about. When I am looking at you, I see you being self-involved, 90% of the time. on how to live Aikido (which … Continue reading → Related Posts: Develop your Awareness, your conscious awareness One surprise side […]
Are you the gift, or are you the gift giver? Do “they” feel they need to give you a gift?
I was looking at Christmas this morning and I saw something that I had never seen before.
Your relationships can be described in terms of gift giving and receiving.
For some people, in your life, you may be a gift. You and your life. And for others, you substitute that by giving them gifts at the predetermined gift-giving time… and buy another year to not be a gift.
I know, I know, I am off my rocker… but maybe you are! Have you ever thought about that?
I was looking at my relationships. Allowing the other to be a gift takes generosity of spirit. And to be a gift yours
Cinematherapy: what does it do? It teaches you to feel.
Movies with good actors do it better…
American actors are mostly useless, but it may be because American directors have no empathy? And yet some of the most missing feelings I got from American TV series I have watched through Netflix. I have recently learned family love, and being able to choose, ultimately, what is win-win… in a series I am watching now, Blue Bloods about a Irish family of cops in New York City. I also had a peek at something I didn’t know I wanted to feel: how religion is for people who have faith…
I don’t know if it is the actors or the di
It is all about where the finger is pointing.
We all want change. The circumstances to change, others to change… We want people to change to what we deem the correct or good way to be.
We want reality to be different.
We put our attention to what’s wrong, in our view, what is missing, in our view.
In essence, we want the world to conform to our norms.
I am describing, to a more or less degree, humanity… though a segment of the population is very loud about it, very verbal about it: activists and campaigners.
The number one ingredient to become an
What is appreciation? Is it limited to what you like?
What do I like about leading webinars?
Unlike other people, I don’t speak from what I know, I don’t speak from my mind.
Why this is something to like? Because every time I speak I surprise myself. I listen to what I am saying, and I am amazed, and often confronted.
Today the concept of appreciation was discussed: that “culture” makes you believe that appreciation is talking about things you like… but it is a lie.
Just like in mathematics every number has a value, zero, five, minus 15.
Appreciation is simply giving something a matching value.
Things you don’t like may have a negative number

Fresh Insights on the DNA capacities activation
As I often do, this morning I revisited a movie I saw a few years ago, The Constant Gardener.
In that movie, a British activist and a Kenyan doctor work to expose the pharmaceutical companies that experiment with new drugs on Kenyan people, who die from the experimental drugs. The activist and the doctor get gunned down by Kenyan hired thugs.
No big deal, so why am I weeping every time I think of it?
So this morning I looked at it.
This is what I saw:
It’s a purely cultural rule to see value in life. Without that rule, human gre
Current science’s view on DNA and what I say is the truth
Science talks about genetic lottery… haves and have nots, lucky and unlucky.
The truth is both simpler and more complicated.
Human DNA has capacities encoded, but they are either turned on or not. And even capacities that are turned of, may be used, or not used.
The kids in studies who are good at reading but not good at math are dealing not with a reading gene and a math gene missing, instead they deal with something less simplistic than that.
There is no reading gene and there is no math gene. On the other hand, there are 160 genes that lie underneath all the clever feats a child or adult can perf
DNA activation: Human DNA is like a Christmas tree: it has lots of light on, and even more lights off.
Human DNA is like a Christmas tree: it has lots of light on, and even more lights off.
A light on is a human capacity that is active. A light off is a human capacity that is not active.
Evolution of the species is an inside job. It happens on the DNA level: some capacities turn on.
But how do these capacities turn on, and why isn’t everybody the same on the level of DNA?
A DNA capacity turns on when it’s needed. Comfort, peace, smooth living don’t turn on new capacities.
You don’t need them. You could use them, but you don’t need them.
When I

Warning: as always, the most important things are explained in the footer part of the post! Don’t miss them!
Some weeks are like this: I do something, see something, write about something important, and on Monday Roy Williams’ Monday Morning Memo echoes it.
This is the case this week… You know when you manage to do something whose time has come? Gratifying, rewarding, like the Universe nods in your direction. ((Roy Wil
