We are a lot like a dog that cannot see the forest for the trees. Clueless. And that hasn’t changed in the past 10,000 generations. This article goes deep and to the core in an area where you cannot see the forest for the trees and therefore you are an underachiever… no succeeding in life. […]
It’s hard but it is not hopeless… Filling the holes in your education
I have shared with you my experience as an architect… what ultimately failed me or made me fail… and want to quit. But I’ll repeat it here, in the wake of a TED talk I just listened to: the tendency … Continue reading
Why don’t you trust? Why can’t you trust?
This is a hypothesis that will need to be confirmed with tests. I could also say: it’s a hunch.
And my hunch is that the less trustworthy you are the less trust you have. Period.
Hah, but trust, as a verb, is transitive.
So let’s see what COULD you trust, if you did:
- 1. trust in yourself… aka self-trust.Trusting that what comes out of your mouth is the truth
Trusting that you can
Trusting that you will
Trusting that your “beliefs” are accurate
Trusting that you can meet your own expectations of yourself
Trusting that you can meet other people’s expectations
and probably a lot more. We’ll talk about “beliefs” that everyone seems to know what they me
Emotional Intelligence: How learning what feelings are, what feelings do will help you live life as a human, instead of a puppet
Yesterday I was on the phone with a client.
Her soul correction is Fear/Fearless. In the conversation it was becoming obvious that she had read the book “Feelings”. I have been so excited about. So the conversation was on a more even footing that most of my conversations: she has been paying attention and recognizing at least some of the dynamics the feelings have, and has been managing her fear quite well.
Buy the book “Feelings” Show proof of purchase for a pdf… you’ll need it. It’s hard to see the illustration on Kindle…
You have always wanted to get out of your head. You tried meditation
Beingness… the inner guidance that gives your behavior, actions, and ultimately your results
Not surprisingly, I hope, the difference between homo sapiens (thinking man) and Human Being is this elusive “thing”: beingness.
Beingness does not respond to words.
- Beingness does not respond to words.
- It doesn’t respond to force, not even to force of will.
- It doesn’t really respond to feelings either.
- And: IMPORTANT! is not created by doing
It is a whole different ball of
Infantile will to power… or how you dampen the fire that motivates you to grow
I came up with the expression “top 10% of your mind” many years ago, when I was teaching the What Color of Your Parachute workshop.
It is said that you only use 5% of your brain. But, of course, you use all of your brain most of the time, but not for something worth using a precision instrument even the stupidest person possesses.
The truth is that 99% of your usage, what you see, what you say about what you feel, what you think is not new, and not accurate and not worth thinking, because it leads to no benefit.
I have students that make this phenomenon very easy to observe.
If you put all their posts together, take out the repetitive stuff, you end up with
What will it take for you to steer your life to the good life? Not what you think!
I don’t want to change you into my vision of you. Rather, I want to motivate you into becoming the person you are capable of becoming.
– Life Mapping (Bill Cohen)
Display and existence. These are two Landmark distinctions.
As I am looking at my students, the biggest missing is not intelligence, not diligence, it is these two distinctions.
I am still doing the preparation series for the mapping your life, or lifemapping workshop: I want you to come and do the work, instead of listening to me doing teaching.
Every learning is 5% input, and 95% you doing what you need to do, practicing it, using it, putting it into action.
So this is what these distinction and the article about
The Second Phase Activators Course or what does cancer have to do with your how?
Human DNA has 160 spiritual capacities hard-coded. These are the capacities that can and hopefully will take humanity to the “human being” level, (and beyond,) where beingness causes action, not greed and other survival energies. At present there are eight individuals on the human being level on the planet. I don’t know who they are… I know I am one of the eight. You need 60 active spiritual capacities to be on that level.
80 of these capacities is activated in the Second Phase Activator Course.
A “normal” human has 2-5 spiritual capacities active, helping them to grow, make money, get along with others and themselves. Be healthy, be wise, be happy. 2-5 is mighty few…
The Starting Point measurements include this m
The habit of reading, nodding, and moving on…
Talk about useless activity! Tree of Knowledge, mind candy, justifying self… all the bad stuff. Bad for you… keeping you exactly where you are… and if that is a bad place… then it keeps you firmly anchored to that bad place.
And it is the overwhelming habit of readers of my site.
But to make it even worse: it is the habit of some of my 67 step students.
Useless, waste of time, unless all you want is entertainment. Then I understand.
So if you actually wanted, what you read/listen to, to make a difference for you, what should you do?

The hardest pull to resist is the pull of your “how” nature. Or what type of activity do you rush into… headfirst… That activity can be four kinds… four conative types, four types of conative actions… reading, planning, action, and execution. Scientific name for your “how” is Conation. It is innate, and it is NOT changeable. Regardless… I have been looking at taming my own… I find that it is not tamable. It is what it is. But I have come to suspect that what you do after you do what your Conation makes you do is when the magic happens. You see, all people belong to three types. People who make things happen, people who watch things happen, and people who wonder what happened. But The hardest pull to resist is the pull of your “how” nature. Or what type of activity do you rush into… headfirst…
