If you want to enslave a man, the best and fastest way to go about it is to rob the man of his common sense, his guidance system.
Train him to not trust his feelings. In anything. Train him that he can’t trust his feelings. Train him that all decisions should be made by men smarter than him. Train him that he can’t be trusted to made decisions about the education, the health about his children.
Train him by printing on plastic bags that they should not be put in the cradle… because a child may suffocate playing with it… Do this so the man will stop thinking for himself and start relying entirely on thing being given to him chewed and digested.
Give him the religion of positive thinking.
Does it matter whether this Universe with you in it is a hologram or not?
Great question, isn’t it? I am very proud of myself for asking it.
But if I get an answer, and I go “yes”, unless I find out what exactly I asked that was answered, I am as dumb and assuming as I was before I asked the question.

I am going to start with a somewhat gossipy story: my conversation with my mentor, Gyõzõ Margóczi, the brilliant engineer who wrote the books “Feelings” and “Words”.
I suggested that he thinks about developing a feedback device, that gives you valuable feedback on your feelings… because being in touch and understanding the dynamics of feelings is the hardest thing for a regular human.
And everyone is a regular human… 🙁
His answer, pay attention, was that there must surely be a rich man, like Bill Gates, who would want to stand behin
As we saw, the two capacities, humility: (saying: I don’t know), and seeing the big picture/looking at the thing inside the big picture, are the most predictive of people who can and will correct their faulty mental picture of reality.
Of these humility is primary.
Humility is what gets us out of our head, and makes us look again.
The mood of this: maybe I didn’t see it right!
We all know people who didn’t look twice, and walked into a trap, walked into disaster with their heads high, no idea that the trap is there.
And how you do anything is how you do everything. So if that is you: it is all over the place for you, in every area of your life.

Experiments and tests show that if you have the right attitude, high level of interest, and you are coherent: you can receive as much as 7% of what is being said. Word based communication. Re-listening or re-reading the same thing won’t improve the percentage much. Why? Because what you think is there replaces, effectively, what you hear or read the second time. This is what is normal.

If you are supposed to have it already, then working for it doesn’t look like it’s worth it. And this is the problem, an epidemic, of today. I have students in all the time zones of the world… and they all share this problem.
